the TH200 was desind to also work with an Olds engine so it has the nothch all ready i bealve the 700 does not but with out the parts i can't say.


FF did you look at the trans yet?

the Olds pattern is compleately different from the 2.8 I think you are thinking of the 200r4 not the th200c (iirc what its called)

i had a 85 Monte with a thm200C thing had like 3 bolt patters on it. i know it bolted to 4.3L and the olds 350 i had


but any it is a diffrent trans then the 700. and the pics i have seen show the driver side closed off

4.3 is the same as the chev v8 patteren and the Olds is the same as Pontiac and Buick. I think all th200r4's had dual bolt pattern

I might run out to the yard after work tomorrow and take a look at the 86 firebird that they have and see what the 700r4 looks like. I am almost 100% sure that the 200c that I had would work with a fwd block after cutting up the cast aluminum TC cover and drilling out one of the bolt holes in the trans for the dowl pin on the block

I got the trans out of the customer's car, but haven't had time to examine it yet.
