just took my engine block to the local shop.
I will have them shave 2.2mm(.0866")from the decks.

and later on there will be 0.8mm(.0314") taken from the heads.

this should result in a quench of .077"
    and a CR of 8.43:1.

maybe I'll even shave .04" of the heads.
that would take me to a quench of .07"
    and a CR of 8.57:1.

the machinist stated that the block should take the .0866"without trouble.
since the threadholes are casted way down in the block and are only somewhat atached sideways.(these are the pulling forces).

the forces on the cilindersleeves/bores are pressure forces..so that wouldn't change much.

    we'll see...
    sideways

.07 is a large quench. Factory motors are usually .050" or less, most say .040" is perfect.

with 15psi of boost that shouldn't matter to much.
btw engines with aloy rods .055 is as high as you want to go.

ROL makes a graphite gasket that's .045" compressed for the 3.4 Camaro.. I'd imagine it would hold plenty of boost.. although the MLS ones would be better i'm sure...

Yeah..I planned on ordering a set mls gaskets but..
they will raise my squish to much I'm afraid.
so I will look for .040 or .045 ones that can hold 12-15psi. max.
are those graphite ones expensive ?

just handed ben 200 for the mls gaskets.
I think these are the best choice for boost.

only downside...I gotta contact my machinist to tell him
to remove an extra .020 from the block's deck.

                      coating pistons

I ordered some molykote 7409 to coat my forged pistons.
it will greatly reduce noise/wear...and provides low friction.

I will post some pics after i am done with them.

okay...thats more than I was hoping for
                          for my engine.

anyway I decided to buy ben's mls gaskets.
                          seems like the best gasket.

                          thanks dave.

                            update

here's something that I recently bought:

the RR FPR with stainless braided hose...

and I also cleaned and installed my injectors....

the injectors in europe have these hats on them,
they are about .10"-.20" longer intotal length and are
                            about .67lbs/minute. at 44 psi.

they should deliver enough fuel for about 300hp.at 44psi.

I also bought a water to air intercooler with a 12*4,5*4,5" core
                            good for 5-600 hp.

and a watercooler from a zxr 750 kawasaki would have to cool the
                            chargetemperaturs down to acceptable levels.
