like i said, your best bet is to start out with an 03+ 4t45e, you will need tuning but your just basically swapping trans files, easy stuff

I'm running into a bit of an electrical problem and i cant seem to figure out why. Right now i have a dual aftermarket motorized head unit in my dash. When i was driving all of the sudden it just stopped working and closed. Moments later my cruise control and half my instrument panel went offline. Now in order to get my radio the power it required i had to bridge a fuse. It had 2 10amp fuses in it one for the radio and the other for the cruise control and panel. Now i took the bridge off and put a fuse in and its working..... problem is no radio. I dont understand why the radio is doing this i checked its fuse and all its wires it seems fine. Any suggestions?

Ugh i didnt plan on taking the entire radio wiring apart. I had an origional short in the main power wire. It wasnt pushing enough power to run the radio. it did the stock one tho which was weird. So i had to rerout it and ran a bridged fuse to the right fuse box. But i guess i'll have to check that. The bank one sensor one oxygen sensor is on the rear of the engine in the exhaust pipe isnt it?

well it wsant really a short. The old stock radio had power and powered on. It.... just wasnt enough. I think it was because that wire went to the dimmer switch and you cannot run an aftermarket radio on a dimmer switch. I dont know i have 300 left after the oxygen sensor. Perhaps i should have the radio wire rewired w/o the dimmer.

Well i ordered one specially from autozone.... it wasnt right. Aparently the 2001-2002 malibu wiring harness had a difference. Umm well they gave me a universal one. Which worked, but it blocked my access to the power wire. So i had to bridge it. Its working fine now. I found that my amp kits system wire was touching the ground wire in the trunk so i completely disconnected it and problems were gone. Put the sensor in so wish me luck the engine light goes off. Has to go through up to 50 engine cycles. Plus the bridging the wires was done by a professional not me. I only maintain it.

LOL well oxygen sensor failure. The car literally spat out my new sensor. I put it in last night then started to drive this morning. Major powerloss i even loss power to interior lights. W/e happened completely bypassed the battery. The engine just simply slowly shut down. I couldnt keep the accelerator in the same place otherwise that would happen. I had to sit there and pump the accelerator just to get her to move and when she was idle she kept trying to take off if she could. I took the new sensor out and put the origional in. Its fine but she still has a check engine light. Any suggestions anyone?

also disconn the batt and reset the mem. leave it off for a good long while just to make sure, try about 20-30 mins, then reconn, and use the new sensor then
