Nice to see you're still around Franz. I've followed the work you've done for a long time and I love the innovations that you're still doing with the gen 2 engine. Out of curiosity, how wide is that water pump drive belt? The teeth on it seem pretty similar to a regular timing belt, it might be possible to match something up at a parts store if you were to mount the electric motor where the a/c compressor would be. Nice work though, I'll be watching this thread for sure.

      Thanks man!
The w/p belt is quite small. Likely 1/2 inch or less in width.
I thought the same thing about the timing belt when I saw pics of it, but it's MUCH smaller, and not standard timing belt type teeth.
It actually looks pretty cheap, like sewing machine parts or something. It's got a part number on it that I should see if I can access at work sometime.
BTW, the area where the A/C compressor used to be is "reserved" for future considerations.

HAHA....dang, I can't keep anything hush hush around here!!
Actually I was given an M90 by a buddy of mine, but after measuring, and lot of consideration, it's just too big! So I've given it back.
I don't want it coming through the hood. Not that I don't like that look, but I'm going for a little more of a "sleeper" look.
I also want to intercool any boost I may run, and yes it's possible with the roots style, but the M90 is soooo big, it's just too much.

I am guessing you don't have nearly the room I do in the X-11 up top behind the engine.

Wow, but no I don't think I could run that type of set up, though I may have to check just to be sure.
Looks good though. Is that an M90? Looks like an M62, but hard to tell.

Really? I was just looking at a Supercoupe at work the other day, and their SC looks much smaller than the M90 I have here.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I wanted to let everyone know that it looks like I'm not going to be using the Mr.Gasket electric water pump kit.
According to Mr.Gasket, this kit is not to be used for more than 5 minutes at a time. In other words, race only.
Of course I got no replies or info before I bought the kit.
So unless someone can say absolutely it would work for a street application, I've gotta figure out the next step, either mechanical w/p, or the type on killerbv6.com.

                          Wow, that's a shitty deal.

I think the electric water pump idea is a good one and I'm sure there's a viable solution out there. The one on killerbv6 sounds good, but I wish they had more pics (and they may have now, I haven't checked in a while). The are made for other types of engines so I don't see why one can't work on a 660.

The company that makes the one on killerb is Meziere, and here's their remote pumps. http://www.meziere.com/index.php?pgName=Remote
They've got lots of stuff, including streetable stuff for the 3800 SCs and LS1s.
I've emailed them about a price for one, but I'm sure it's not cheap. Maybe later I'll add it on, and just go mechanical for now.

I emailed killerB like 3-4 months ago about their electric WP kit. They said they are no longer making them for lack of interest.
