Return of the gen 2. Now I see how much you had to take off the rockers to get them to fit. Definetly looking forwards to hearing how this one turns out
Thanks!
Water pump will be driven by an electric motor. Mr Gasket kit #4333 I think.
It's intended for a small block, but I've adapted it so far. I still need to to mount the electric motor, but that's 75% complete.
Here's the electric w/p mocked up.
Obviously I need different bolts, but this is what the kit came with. I'll pick up the right length tonight. Then I can space it out properly so the motor is square with the w/p.
I'll likely cut off the extra length on the bracket too, but I need to figure out if I can put another bolt in someplace first.
ive been talking about that belt driven kit for a while now, and every time its mentioned i get shot down. nice to see someone is actualy using it, they work quite well.
all i will say about the motor is at least you could have painted it. there is no excuse for an ugly motor
Haha...you're right about the ugly motor!
Two things about that.
1. I'm a "function over form" type of person. The only reason I painted my car was so it didn't rust to peices. "Looks" are an afterthought for most of my projects. I once came in second place at the track and won a couple hundred bucks. The owner gave me crap for not washing my car first.
2. My job makes me spend about half my life away from home. So after trying to spend some time with the family when I am home, there's not alot of time left to put the car together. When I do have time, I try and make as much progress as possible, and looks go to the back burner.
And here's a picture of the lower intake resting in place. And yes, the intake is dirty from sitting around for over a year now. Don't worry, it'll be cleaned before being reinstalled.
