To be honest, I think you are setting your budget high. If you think it will take $20k, we accept paypal

In all honesty, though, you should grab up a transmission from Performabuilt. They have an awesome 500+hp 4l60e for just over $2600 that we are about to bolt behind a hybrid at the shop. Couple that to a 10.5" billet converter (another $1k) and I doubt you will have any issues.

Your 3500 will run you about another $1k in machining and prep, you can snag some H-beam rods and forged pistons for somewhere around $1500. Custom driveshaft will be around $500, then you have the small peripherals like the motor mounts etc that you may/may not be able to handle on your own.

Add the turbos, depending on the type you pick up, will be around $2k for a decent set, and again peripherals like wastegates/BOV/oil lines etc to the tune of another $3-500.

Yeah, $20k can go real fast can't it?

Remember that this thing is stripped down. I still need to buy seats, ALL brake components (I guess the equipment at the wheels is there, but that's it), all new gauges, probably an entirely new wiring harness. I'll also have to beef up the rear differential (there is a couple grand there). The rear suspension hasn't been touched yet, so that needs to be replaced. I'd rather say $20k and come in low, than say something else and end up spending a lot more.

Oh, and I'm sure I will be talking to you about fabbing up some custom parts. Just depends on what Ben comes up with...

Oh yeah, and I was looking at Performabuilt yesterday. I will probably email them and discuss what I am looking for and see what they come back with.

Yeah, talk to Frank. They are the best out there for IMO.

Who needs brakes when you have 800hp? (in a Tim Allen voice) "who who who".
