      Nice ride!

When you were talking about a mustang, I figured it would of been a stockins street machine, T5 equipped, ready for a 2.2L S10 bellhousing and 3X00. But I see you're building a race car !

      Awsome.

It won't necessarily be a race car. Oh, and it is getting a 3500, but with a 97+ 4L60E, so that I get the correct bellhousing.

Looks great, for a mustang I guess.....Im not really a fan of the Fox body, but then again Im not a Ford man either. But, since your throwing a 660 in her, Im along for the ride!! I think this is going to be VERY interesting. Does the car have the full interior in it? Or does it have a weight redux?

Edit: It has a roll cage in it so Im guessing it is gutted. Should be pretty quick with a turbo'd 3500. Your gonna love the look on people's faces when you tell them its a 6'er under the hood bustin V8s asses.

It still has carpet and all the dash intact. There are no seats to speak of, so when I go shopping for those, I'll look into some lightweight ones, but still try to keep them semi-comfortable. I really want to keep it able to be driven for an extended amount of time, as I am not a fan of trailer queens. But, I also want to make it as fast as possible to show up the V8 Ford (and Chevy) guys.

As I've stated before (somewhere), I am a die-hard Chevy guy, but I have always been a fan of the Fox body Mustangs for some reason. I have wanted a notch for a long time, to swap in a Chevy engine. This isn't a notch, but I think it will work just fine.

Aw, wasnt that just sweet of your wife to get you that car! I absolutely love when wives pop up with surprise gifts. Mine does the same thing from time to time. I think most wives just get that itch to get us something and all they have to do is watch the way we look at something in the store and later on they'll pop up with it. It is so easy for them. But us on the other hand....teh fail.

i don't know how the seats in the mustang mount, but the seats in the MC are fairly comfortable, and i've pulled them out multiple times, weren't too heavy...

My fiance tried to do something similar to that, but that was only one month after we met... First off I should explain, she asked where I wanted to go some day and I said Key West... so then next thing I know we were driving down there. But she also tried to setup a rental car for us to take from Florida down to the keys and back, It didn't work out because it was my 25th Birthday and they wouldn't do the insurance on it if I was driving it, since I would be taking it 2 days before my actual birthday... I still got to go to key west though. I didn't know about the car until the age situation came up and how to get insurance on it, and then she was very disappointed on how it wouldn't work so she told me what she had lined up.

OH and the rental car she tried to get was a Porsche Boxster Turbo

You know my buddy had a "trunk" Fox body with the 2.2L 4cyl or some kind of disgrace of an engine. That thing was weak as shit. I mean it struggled at WOT to even get to 60, but those bodies are light as hell to begin with. The notch or hatch fox body was a few hundred pounds heavier. You couldnt have chosen a better car for your project, considering everything that has been done to that one.

So, what is your projected time frame between start to finish?
