    Nice!

Can you get a side shot showing the back of the hood in relation to the cowl/windshield?

It almost looks like your scoop is different than the one i got.

    Thanks

like the photoshop on the last one. i should do that! lol BE SURE to give all part numbers and prices so i know how much to save up for. can't wait to see the brake swap in progress. exciting stuff man!! love how the piping into the intake looks. there's a theory that the cobalt SS's brakes will work up front too.

Cobalts have a GAY sabb bolt pattern, like 5/110 or something.

His hood is a full fiberglass hood, not a molded in scoop. Made by US body.

Your scoop is the same as mine, I didn't get a pic but looking at this you have the same angle at the back.

That looks pretty good too btw!

Whoring up my thread with your 13 sec beast of fury... LMAO!

Very nice, but what's with the swiss-cheese action on the front rotors? Or is that just a wheel spacer? I can't tell.....

Those are my ultra light weight .58" thick wheel spacers they weighed in at 1.1lbs each when done, and I was like F that... I doubled the 5x115 pattern then added a 10x100 one at 3/4" and a 20x135 pattern at .358" to lighten them up... Ended up at .65lbs each after I got done.

And you are still hub-centric on your wheels, right? Or are the wheel studs now supporting the weight of the car?

losing just over a 1/2 pound on unsprung weight won't affect much, and you certainly won't feel it. why work that hard?

the studs don't support the weight. they clamp the hub of the wheel to the bearing assembly, and that's what holds the weight. studs can handle being pulled on, but not flexed.

I realize that. I am wondering that with .58" thick spacers, is the centerbore of the wheel no longer on the hub? Of course using the wheel studs to support the weight of the car is a no-no.

Hubcentric before? No, Hubcentric now, YES. I had them made to be hubcentric, before my bearings were too small to do the job and I never got rings made.

Also weight wise, when your adding a bunch of weight up front if you can shave off 1lb then that's 1 less pound that I'm trying to spin... they don't make 2 piece rotors with aluminum center hats for no reason. Also it wasn't much work... Hole pattern program on a Bridgeport did all the math and positioning... only effort was pushing the lever down to drill a hole.

This is the same upgrade all the j-body guys are doing, it was just done on a L-body.

                                A few more updates.

The Neon Rear disc swap found on J-body.org

                                Fitting everything.

                                Bolted up

                                Line adapters

                                Line routing

Just need to reconnect e-brake cable, adjust it, and then go to bleeding the system. While I was there I also put my steel braided lines up front to finish that swap off.

Don't worry Ben... Nitrous times and vids are hopefully coming soon... Our Beretta meet has unfortunately been hacked down to a 1/8th mile track, so I may have to go before. But I will get Dyno numbers... Mine may not show up as what its capable of thou since I have conformation, the converter I put in is a 3195 stall converter, so that may play with my dyno numbers.
