The major issue is that with today's cameras, the resolution of images is huge, and many people don't know how to (or don't want to) resize them. So they get uploaded as huge images causing the scrolling issues. We had a mod on here that would resize images, but it was hit and miss if it worked. Sometimes images were resized, then you look at the same thread a few days later and the images are back to huge size. I'll see what I can do to find a solution to the issue.
What size screen do you have? LCD (flat panel) or CRT (big tube old style) ?
Right click on desktop, go to properties, settings tab and slide the screen resolution slider towards the right to increase the resolution (more stuff fits on the screen, but it will get smaller possibly harder to see if you can't see fine details up close).
That will help..
That or buy a nice 22" widescreen LCD (acers are decent and cheap) and then you'll have plenty of size and resolution to play with. LCD's are dirt cheap now days. The resolution I run is 1650x1050 pixels which will fit a good amount of text and images on a screen. I usually never have to scroll on anything.

At work I have 3 17" LCDs running at 1280x1024 each, and a 24" widescreen in the middle running at 1920x1200. I normally have IE open on the 24" and there are times when even I have to scroll!
Another forum I go to has vBulletin 3.8.4 and is able to isolate each post so that only the tables for that post are stretched. Is that an option with this version?
Ugh please don't enable only a post to have scroll bars. It's easier to scroll the whole page on a laptop than to try and mouse over and see what's hidden in a small iframe...

No, its not like that. The post that has the large image is wide and would require you to scroll over to see the image and the content of that post, but the rest of the posts are the standard width. Basically, it somehow splits the width of each TR tag.

yeah, its those assholes shooting with 10.1MP cameras or better!! just wait till i get my 14!
Brad, that is exactly what I don't like. One post on the page has scroll bars and since the image is large, then you have to not only scroll left and right, but also up and down, so reading the users text becomes a major chore. At least when the whole page gets scroll bars you can let the image over hang and still see the text of everyone clearly.
