Thanks for the advice Colin. I'll have to get a gasket and measure the opening before anything of course. I didn't get a chance to go there this weekend, I'll pick one up this week.

From the sound of things, you guys are in the process of making headers. Which vehicles are you discussing? I have '94 Buick Century (Iknow, lame, but it's in awesone condition) w/ a 3100 and I would like to make a sleeper out of it. It's registered in GA and the noise pollution laws are pretty liberal. I saw the set Steve Hamm made on the site pics. Were those one-of-a-kinds or does he make them? Would my Buick have space issues compared to Berreta/Grand Prix/Cavalier? Know what anyone would charge for a set with flanges like above in pic?
Thanks, Nathan

Originally posted by AaronI am using connected gaskets. I got them from NAPA. They were nto only the cheapest, but the only place that had gaskets in stock. I looked at every shop trying to get connected ones and finally found NAPA's.
Also they are really good gaskets, Bowtiekid liked them a lot. If you guys can't find them or don't have a NAPA, I could probly send some out. They are worth it. I used them as the template for my flanges.

Got my flanges and have started mocking up my headers. The primaries are 1.62 dia. x 17" and the collectors will be 2.5 dia. x 4". I wanted them short so they could be used with a turbo set-up although that wont be for a while. My goal is to get them tacked together this weekend and then off for TIG weld early next week. If they come out looking nice then I will have them ceramic coated. AFI (http://www.afipowder.com/) quoted me a price of $165 coated and polished to a chrome looking finish.

I'm interested in these flanges too.
In your opinion, how are these flanges? Good? Do they give any clearance problems anywhere? Are they nice and straight? The spark plug holes seem quite accessible, are they?
Thanks,

Thx for the props guys... Chris is right, they are very straight and the spark plug access is great. They are very well made with lots of material around the bolt holes and all the holes and ports line up nicely.
The only problem I had is with the bottom of the flanges slightly hitting the block where the block sticks out just a little further than the exhaust port faces. Easy fix with a grinder, I just put a 1/8" chamfer on the bottom back corner of the flanges.
