Exactly, I had to grind for a while to get them smooth and the right shape.

I don't have an accurate drawing of the outlet on the head, only a picture that would have to be editted by someone who can measure it... Ben?

Also, I don't know if connected gaskets are available for the DOHC either. I think they are just donut shaped for around the port. Anyone know for sure?

I am using connected gaskets. I got them from NAPA. They were nto only the cheapest, but the only place that had gaskets in stock. I looked at every shop trying to get connected ones and finally found NAPA's.

Also they are really good gaskets, Bowtiekid liked them a lot. If you guys can't find them or don't have a NAPA, I could probly send some out. They are worth it. I used them as the template for my flanges.

How close do they line up to the ports? I've gotta run to NAPA this weekend, I'll probably just pick one up.

ok, id do it dyk... however, youd be looking at quite a bit for just 1 set. around 100us just beacuse i have to pay the cad guy to cad it up 1h or 2 work, then for the place to set up to only cut 1 set out is not too good for them. If you wanted to get say....3 or 4 sets then the price could probably drop to around 50us a pair.

but either way email me and ill get you my address....

Well, I don't mind paying a bit more... especially since the quality looks really good! I'll start another thread and see if there is interest in having some made. That way, we could get a group buy going or something to cut the cost.

$100 is still a pretty damn good price. I know when I was looking into having a facility around here do up some flanges for me (design and cut), it was going to cost around $350 for 1 set. Of course, if I got 20 sets made right away, it was only going to be $450 total ($22.50 per set). For some odd reason I never had it done though...

                              One word of advise Dykz34....

figure out your tube size in refrence to your exhaust gasket..

i just realized i made a boo boo and forgot that the 1-5/8ths pipe is larger than the gasket hole for the 3X00 gasket,.. so now i have to grind out the opening of the header flanges for the ports due to the port hole is too small even though i thought it was going to be ok...

no big deal and i mean its heaps easier to just enlarge a hole with the grinder and a marker to mark it out in relation to the already properly placed port hole than make one from scratch... BUT i wish i thought of this before hand.. argh...

Are they 1 piece or multipiece flanges, and why?

I am using a 1 piece mainly to put less stress on my less than perfect welds.
