  • 3400 pistons and connecting rods

I have been looking at a couple of pistons on summitracing.com. Using their search feature I came up with two piston options for the 3400.

Their part #'s are STL-H847CP50MM and STL-H847CP. Will either of these work and what would be CR be on a stock head?

Also, I'm having no luck with connecting rods. I've read on here that SBC connecting rods will work with a little modification, but can anyone point me in the right direction?

Those are the same, except one is an overbore piston (.5mm or 0.020").

As far as connecting rods : http://60degreev6.com/content/Connecting_Rods_0

Good read on the connecting rods. Thanks a bunch.

Does anyone have any experience with these pistons? Anyone recommend them or know what the CR might be?

Pretty sure they are just stock replacements. If Summit has data on them (compression height, dish volume, etc), you can always plug it into the site's CR calculator (http://60degreev6.com/CR_Calculator) to determine what CR you will end up with.
