The bellhousings are different between the V8s and V6s. The V8s did use the 700R4 but the bell housing is different so they can't be swapped. I also think that he input shafts spline counts are different.

The 3.1 injectors make me a llittle rich in the bottom end and idling but they helped the topend more. I put those in cause my stockers got damages and the JY I was at only had them for the 3.1 and I needed a set ASAP. I'm not sure about the 1.75 rockers, they may be to big. 1.6 will deffinately work.
ediat:
I need to change out the injectors for 2.8s b/c my gas mileage is sucking right now.Last edited by 2.8RS; 12-07-2007, 12:18 AM.00 Grand Prix GTP Daytona

yeah, Im pretty sure that the 1.75's are a bit too far and dont touch the valve properly but ive not tested those yet so i couldent say.. 1.6's work great.. and are cheap.. they came in 660's i'd be a good idea to stick with those.. if u want high lift pull the timing cover off and put a lumpy cam in.. high lift olny does so much b4 creating turbulance and reducing flow..VIDEO Acadian http://videos.streetfire.net/video/8...7f00197eea.htm

You have to realize that a rocker get's it's ratio from the stud-to-pushrod distance, not from the stud-to-valve. Any rocker you put on there needs to be slightly off center favoring the pushrod side of the valve stem. As the rocker depresses the stem, it moves more to the center. At full open conditions, it should be the same distance from center, only favoring the exhaust side of the valve stem.
I used to have the Magnum 1.6 roller tips on the car, and compared the measurements. I even ran a set of 1.7's on there for a while, but they were from a Ford and was not proper geometry (just did it for fun).
Camaro91,
Get the rockers out of a 1995 3.1, they'll be the same stamped style as yours, with a little different shape. Even the studs interchange.

how hard was it to put a turbo on it?
how much does it cost?
How hard depends on your fabrication skills.
Using an ebay turbo, parts alone were $1200.

im selling a set of rockers if your interested.... they're from a 98 malibu gen 3 so not sure if they'll work for you....
duno how much power your looking for off the line but its worth noting that as power increases so will your effective stall speed
a turbo setup would be a great route to go with if you can fab, that would easily get you to your goals and leave you with that power for day to day driving, not just when you push a button

well i doubt the stall speed will be effected at all with just rockers, they're not going to give you that much more power
takes a bit more power than that but say 200 whp on a stock stall might raise it a few hundred rpm, there are a lot of factors that go into choosing a stall though and power output should be one of them
