So you're looking for the part with the purple paper on top?

No the motor with the purple paper controls the EGR is available and works fine. The missing part should be where the yellow paper is and it should control the arm. The arm is attached to a second door, not the EGR door, it lets more or less air in the horn. If I maybe had the name of it I could do a decent search.

I can promise you 10000000% that vacuum motor with the purple paper on it is NOT for your EGR. It's the thermactor valve. It diverts hot air from AROUND the exhaust manifold via that shiny steel shroud and Tin foil tube.
The EGR valve is bolted to the intake manifold and is barely visible under the air cleaner in the 1 o'clock position when looking from the front, in relation to the carb.

Been a long time. Yes the EGR is on the intake and has a huge vacuum diaphragm.

Ohh... got to admit.. you got me. you are right the egr actualy controls EXUAST ,dooh, gas. not hot air. So do you know what is this flap behind it that cuts off the whole air horn flow?

The flap is controlled by the thermactor, which is a vacuum motor.
It has nothing to do with emmisions.
There is a linkage rod from the thermactor to this flap.
I believe vacuum is supplied to the motor by a thermostatic valve, which is mounted on the bottom of the air cleaner. I think mine says "AC Delco" and is in the 3 o'clock position from the carb.
Mine stopped working a loooong time ago and I haven't noticed.

OK, your warm that what your talking about is on the floor of the horn. there is a second flap that hinges from the top in mine behind that. And this is what I have stuck open or half open.
