I'm not worried about money for them. I have more injectors then what I need, lol. You have a budget. If this little bit can help you out without hurting your budget, and I have spares sitting around here, it's really no problem Besides, ever hear the saying don't look a gift horse in the mouth? Although, if you start calling me Mr. Ed, you can forget it.
j/k, lol

The 3.4 injectors won't work with the 2.8 ECM, unless it is tuned. I would need to find a way to get the car to Superdave, the only guy I know of that could do it. I'll have to put the 2.8 injectors in until I can get to Dave's.
I'd have to give you something for the injectors, I can't accept something like that for free.

Well if you have someone to tune it, I could probably donate a set of injectors to the cause since I have 4 sets, and 3 engines. 1 set/engine in the 92, 1 set/engine in the 91, 1 set/engine on the stand, and a set that came with my 96 top end.
Yes, hood vents, ground effects and rear spoilers are stock on Z34's.

Oh BTW, I noticed both your z34 and SofaKings z34 have the those hood vents, were those standard for those cars? I think they look cool.

That's what I wanted to know. I guess I'll put the 2.8 injectors in it for now, and hope it will do okay on the strip..., I mean highway! LOL!

I wonder how well DOHC injectors would do on it... Yes, my Ranger does have a 2.3l that has more spark plugs than my LQ1... Running wise, it is in tip top shape though, despite having 180k+ on the clock. One of my later pulling victims in it was a 98 GMC Envoy, fully loaded in the rain Can you say fish tail at every takeoff? It sounds like Roberts inlaws has the 3.45 gears or worse in the rear. My gas mileage hasn't changed since the 3.73's and the last time I checked (over a year ago) it was around the 21-24 range which tells me Ford did a really bad job trying to put gears in there that matched the truck/engine combo.

should be able to... IIRC my 3100 with 19lb/hr injectors had a 75% duty cycle around 4000-4200 running on the old PCM...
so as long as you keep it out of that range you should be fine...

Would running the 2.8 injectors have a negative effect on highway driving?
As soon as I get the swap completed, it's going to be my daily driver.
I'm not a speed demon, I just want to run on the interstate at 60 mph. Will there be major problems?

small injectors: yes they will work, but i wouldn't be going nuts with the throttle or else you'll have serious lean issues near your torque peak...
tuning won't help injector size.
i'm not sure what all is required to run the newer injectors... might be just the plugs, which those are cheap in the yard, just grab the 6 and pay maybe 10 bucks...

I totally agree with you on that one. I love working on vehicles.

exhaust fumes don't make you high, they'll suffocate your ass. BAD expeience with the el camino in that situation. having ignition issues, raw gas coming out the exhaust, and eventually figured out i mixed up cylinder 7 with another plug wire, was swapping the wire with it running, shocked the living shit out of me, and somehow the wires got switched but i don't remember doing it.....
last time i do that in an enclosed area...
for the record: i find very few things more enjoyable than working on vehicles...
