Hmmm David you want to do a double order with me? This might be the way I was thinking of going. Getting rid of that rear leaf and going coil over.

$170+ a shock is not cheap. I have one, I need to order 7 more. All the parts are done, I just need to pick them up from the machine shop on Monday. These will be the best ride you will ever get out of a lumina. If you guys wanna do a group buy and buy like 50 of them, maybe Koni will work us a deal. I need 7 so count me in for that many.

So we would have to just hollow out a old rear strut for the koni shock to fit?
I never looked at my old struts to see if the top was treaded.........
Is it?
Bythe way, are you running coil overs on the rear?
If so, how do you like them over the stock leaf?

The rears are not threaded. I had a machine shop thread them for me. I am not running coil overs, I love the birchmount leaf.
As far as hollowing it out, its a little more than that.

I have coil overs all around (300 lb springs in the back, 350lb up front) with a 7/8" sway bar in the back. Matt (GOT2B GM on w-body) is running a birtchmount in his TGP and I can honestly say there is very very very little difference. I have yet to drive his car now that he has the same sway bar as me though.
Mark,
Did you ever re-work the price on these? and how long are you going to be offering them?

I said that I would just sell the mounts and what not. I forget the prices I said but it was about 300-400 for everything. there is alot of machining and engineering to make these work. It took us some time, but they are done.
