Well as you all know the KYBs really dont do justice to the w-body crowed and thats the best shock out there. Not any more. I have engineered up front and rear koni race shocks for the w-body crowd. It consist of front and rear koni race shocks, 5 way adjustable, twin hydraulic very good shocks. The fronts drop right in, the rears have to be somewhat customized. Here is a pic of the rear mount, solid aluminum.

depends on price. i remember lee wanted close to 500 for front and 500 for rear. i don't think i have that kind of change for something that will need to be replaced.

How about $800 bolt in? All mounts etc included. Would that be soething you might look into? These are race shocks, 5 way adjustable. They will never wear out, FULL lifttime warrantee. Infact they told me that the shocks will last longer then the car.

It goes from hard to soft. I think stock Konis are 3. For just the front $350. They bolt right in with a couple adapters.

My rears don't have 3 or 5 way. Its 1 adjustment with a knob between stiff as hell and soft...which is about KYB stiffness. I guess I would like to see what the struts are exactly but 350 doesn't sound bad to me. Im kinda interested as I don't know what I am doing with the car just yet.

Aparently these are the same way but the KONI Tech told me they were 5 way.

That mount looks awesome. I'd like to see pics of both front and rear struts to get a feel for where the adjuster is. I get the feeling that coil overs aren't going to be easy to get on there, and there is no way I'm losing the coil overs.

$800 seems like a fair price...

The coil overs will fit on there, there is nothing that get changes except the shocks. As far as the adjusters there on top, I can shoot some pics up.

So on the front, you can run coil overs OR stock spring set-up?

For the rear, there a Direct bolt in?

The thing I hate about the oem replacement shocks in these cars is that the front especially is too soft. I'm talking with new shocks, too. The front bobs to much. I was just going to have stiffer front springs made, but if these are adjustable then that would be great cause a person can stiffen up the front end when you want.

Ah, I just got in touch with the company that I buy the shocks from, they went up ALOT. Looks like I will have to refigure my prices.

If they are just a regularly stocked Koni shock, why not price out other places? If I somehow missed how you were modifying the rears, my appologies...

Its not that the shocks are special order, there the only ones that fit in out housings with the right amount of stroke and what not. I think my brother and I will be the only ones with them they cost that much. They are $185 each. I thought the guy said he could do them for $100 but thats not the case.

I will post pics of the final outcome. Sorry guys I thought I could work a deal.

Or just sell us the adapters and leave buying the shocks up to us.

Which shocks would we have to buy?

The adapters for the back are $225. Thats for 2 strut mounts and the housings taped, and the old shocks cut out. The shock parts numbers are 8610-1437race.

The front need special adapters and new top plates so that the shcokcs can be adjusted as well, looking at around $150 for those. As far as coil overs, these are just replacement shocks. It has nothgin to do with the outside, so coil overs will work on these.
