Go ahead, try that. The bellhousing will still need modification for clearance of the gear.

On most GM bells, yes, you will need to grind some metal off of the bellhousing. However, you don't need to cut a pocket. That's why I said you may need to do some grinding. When using a Dakota 2.5l bellhousing to mate an AX15 or an NV3550 to the 660, I've heard that you won't even need to grind any metal. I'm going to be buying a Dakota Bell for testing some stuff so I'll post pics somewhere down the road.

It's all about choices and there are plenty with these engines.

HI, you can't use the F-body Bell housing in the blazer because it rotates the transmission unless you want to drill and tap the holes to mount the transmission straight up, believe me the holes are there just not drilled out, or at least they were in my 87 v6 camaro bellhousing and 89 firebird bellhousing, your easiet bet IMO would be to just grind a hole in the blazer bellhousing to use what ever starter you want, I like the noseless mini starter idea because it allows the lease amount of metal to be removed, and again my opinin is a custom motor moun isn't need because you should still be able to use 2 of the 3 hole off the FWD block which are these two hole :, but all this is just my opinion

Umm, the left front mount needs to be custom, since the FWD block has NO provision for a mount in that area, at least nothing like the RWD block has.

The tranny can be rotated, without any problems, this was done in the F-body so that the shifter is closer to the driver.

I don't know about the other FWD 60v6 but at least with the DOHC(which as car as I understand the external caster is pertty much the same as everything else) allow 2 of the 3 bolt holes to line up to on the one side, on the other side all 3 bolt holes with line up without a problem, the tranny cannot be rotated because this would rotate the cross member mount as well, in the F-boday the tail housing is rotated to compensate for this so the front is rotated and the backe is level, that Fbody trans cannot be used because the puts the shifter at the back of the tail housing and the blazer have it at the front of the housing

That sounds like the fwd minivan blocks pre '95.

In the 3x00 blocks, this is what you have to deal with.
