In time I will kenny.
For now, I have my 1995 twin cam Cutlass Supreme to drive. I think I am going to try to finish the work on my STE. I just replaced the fual rail, injectors, and fuel pressure regulator on it, but it does not run at all now. I think I messed up the intake gaskets when I was putting it all back together. I am going to get new gaskets for it, and try it again.
My only problem with my STE is that when you are slowing down to come to a stop, it starts surging. If you hit the gas, or come to a full stop, the surging goes away. It accelerates fine, and shifts normal. There is no engine codes for any problems, it gets really good fuel economy, and has decent enough power for a stock 3.1 MPFI. It is just this minor surging that it gets when stopping.
After I fix the STE, I am going to sell it and be done with it. If I can get a good ammount of money for the STE, then I will probably get a new transmission for the gold car. Until then, I am going to just finish what I already have, and I think I am going to start over ONCE AGAIN on the gold car. This time I want to strip it down to just a shell, and fix some minor rust that it has, then do everything over from scratch, but this time the right way.Taylor

All i gotta say is thank you for all what you've done and shared. We need guys like you to put it out there for others to follow if they comes across issues like that for reference. Trust me, all what you've done was not in vain. Thanks-a-mil plus a buck.

It's all your fault man!
lol
I saw this post on a swap and decided to go for it myself. I have an experimental car to try it on first, a 92 achieva 2.3 sohc 3 speed auto, getting a 99 malibu 2.4 dohc 4 speed. Made the mounts no problem, matched most of the wires and by-passed what i could. I think i got it wired right but then it started snowing and I wasn't that hard pressed to finish.
Well, the weather has broke and I'm about to go back at it.
How's yours going?sigpicHow to make High performance Emissions:
A "true" High flow converter, straight pipe.
Low/No flow EGR valve, block off plate.
Carbon canister and purge valve mod, place in large 30 Gallon can, cover, and place curbside, the city will do the rest.
PCV valve and vent tube, reroute to exhaust to dump where it belongs, on the ground. Or add breathers and let it all free.

It is just sitting there. I am going to do something different with it, but I need to get the money up first. I started working on my other 2 cars instead, then moved into a new house, and right when I was going to get back to working on the gold car, I bought my 1994 cutlass supreme convertible.
I still need to pick up a transmission, but I think I am going to just strip the car down to the shell, and start totally over with it. I kinda want to go in a different direction with it.Taylor

I decided to take a break from it for a while. I wanted to fix my 1995 Cutlass Supreme, I did that and sold it. I did some work to my 1994 Cutlass Supreme convertible. That is my current daily driver.
Next, I am going to fix up my 1990 Grand Prix STE, and my 1992 Grand Prix SE (I can get them fixed sooner than I can my 198. Once I get my 2 Grand Prix's done (both need less than $500 worth of work), I will sit down and figure out what I want to do with my 1988.
I DO miss driving it, but my 1994 convertible is close (interior wise), so I am not jonesing for it like I was in the past (especially when I was driving that 1995).Taylor
