Its a steel 7484 casting crank. I would love to trade for a 981 steel crank 3400 short block.....that would be da shit.......but this 3500 short block is going somewhere regardless. The crank pulley threads need to be chased and tapped......the puller messed up half the length where the pulley bolt goes....not a biggy at all since anyone using this crank will get it ballanced and the tap can be done then.....

how much for the crank, rods and pistons. i really do not ned the pistons but i am assuming the only way to get the pins out is to break the pistons.

i am mainly interested in the crank and rods. if he wants to remove the pistons and keep them, he is welcome to them.

FF, i remember talking to you about the steel 3500 cranks and you asked for the casting number. a little late but it is 7484...lol.

Must have been a long time ago, lol. I just sold one about a month ago, and a complete 3500 a few weeks ago.

I had the crank for sale here in the B/S/T section.

zofo61, you may have to ask FF for a price b/c i am a dohc guy and i really do not know what these go for.

If you ship the crank, do the buyer a favor and package it good...

It really didn't take much to fab that up. I had a piece of plywood on the bottom and top as well. Keeps the wieght distributed well, and keeps the crank centered in the box, therefore even if the box gets some damage, the crank will stay untouched.

That would add weight to the shipment but it would get there safe...thats for sure.

I shipped that box via FedEx ground and it was around $45 IIRC. If I was a buyer, I'd be more than willing to pay a few more dollars to ensure my crank arrived in the same condition as it was shipped.
