  • Problems viewing some items on the Site----HELP???

Brad, on that last update (the surprise one) did you change anything that would require something on my PC to need updating in order to display certain things???? What is missing is the "Log-In" box and the WOT link and possibly more at the top of the page.... I think my account settings may be missing as well... I'm going to try to get a screen-shot and get back here to attach it.....
I use an old version of Firefox....
Can you tell me the requirements for viewing???
Any help would be great, as I've got to find something that requires me to be logged-In to view, such as a pic... Then I get a Log-In Box....
    Thanks,,,
    Tom

Down in the bottom left of the screen, it says Done, with an icon with an exclamation point in it. Can you click on that and tell me what it says? It very well may be that the version of FF you are using is no longer supported. What version is that, anyway?!? And I know everyone has reasons, but any reason you haven't upgraded to a newer version?

I'm not the OP, but that screenshot looks like it has the version number in the title bar. If that's the case, he's using a nightly build from October 26, 2010.

My company seems to love dated browsers. Whenever they do software updates they reinstall an old version of Firefox. I had this same problem at work until I got a newer version.

Yeah,,, an update of FF fixed it... Now comes ALL the fun of getting everything to work again. And then I can start in on all of my other PCs... Fun, fun, FUN!! I really hate to have to mess with FF once I get it working right... And there are 4 computers that absolutely need to work as well,, the rest of em I won't even bother with,, at least for now... I'll probably be busy for awhile with these.... At least FEBE will be a major help once I get 1 PC set-up...
I had tried to up-date FF a few times, but always ended up rolling it back to the older ver. I run my PC in a virtual environment and I have things working well there.. Time to restart and do it LIVE!!!
            ThanxXx for the responses,
            Tom....

If you would give me the errors from the version you were using, perhaps I could help on a fix for it. But, with that said, the internet is constantly updating, and as it does, support for older browsers is going to go away. vBulletin (the software on which this forum is running) has recently announced that it is stopping support for IE6 & 7 in the next major release, so if you currently run either of those, expect not to be able to view the site very well in the next 4-6 months. I also believe that they plan to only support the latest plus the previous 2-3 versions of each major browser. Since Firefox is currently on v11, vBulletin will only guarantee the software will work on v8-v11. There is a good chance it will work on previous versions as well, but if it doesn't, they aren't going to fix the code to make it work. Sure, this sucks, but I plan on updating the site as needed to ensure any security vulnerabilities are also fixed, as it would suck even more if the site got wiped out completely by a hacker.
