We have had the other article on coolant types for a while now, and upon reading it I see that we need to inform everyone of some of the issues with Dex-Cool. It seems that bi-metal engines have a problem with corrosion in the aluminum parts, which is pretty much what the stuff you add to the water is supposed to prevent. There is a class action lawsuit and investigations on this issue right now. A simple google search for dex cool will pop up a few of them right on the first page. It is best to just use the green stuff, or some of the newer coolants I have seen (though the green stuff has been used for years and has worked well enough to be trusted). If you have anything to add, please post it on the forums as I do not have all the information I would like to add to this article.
