Borla is one of the leading manufacturers of performance exhaust systems. Borla makes a kit for the Chevy Monte Carlo that will fit W-body cars as well, but the price is enough to make most people faint.
The stock W body DOHC exhaust consists of a 2.5" downpipe that is bent very well and IMO doesn't need to be replaced for most setups. The cat is very restrictive however and a high flow version should be on the todo list for any exhaust upgrade. The rest of the pipe is press bent, so going with a mandrel bent setup would help as well. I personally use a 2.5" mandrel bent setup on my car and would recommend it. Also, stock has 2 mufflers, with a split near the gas tank. You can go to a single exhaust to reduce weight and a better (IMO) sound from the muffler since there will be more flow for a 2.5" muffler vs splitting it between 2.
Currently, no one makes headers for this motor, which is a shame. It may be possible to have a set made, but the 91-95 motors would have the best chance at a set based on the exhaust port change for just the final 2 years of productions. So far, only fiero owners and 1 W body owner have created headers for this engine, and the gains are very much worth the trouble. On the W body, a half a second was dropped from just the headers. There have been talks of sets being made but nothing has been produced and we all know that talk doesn't do much for performance.
