I did this on a 94-95 engine but aside from a few minor vacuum lines the instructions should work.
1. remove the plastic engine cover
2. unbolt the plenum to lower intake 10mm bolts
3. take the 2 rear mount nuts off, they are on the rear of the plenum by the spark plug wires
4. take the intake arm/tube and airbox/cone filter off
5. unhook the cables from the throttle body. It is easiest if you slide the plastic clips off of the metal mount.
6. take the 2 small screws holding the metal transmission vacuum line to the fuel rail (I did not put these back on)
7. pull the metal vacuum line and the plastic line off of the plenum (91-93 may have a different setup)
8. remove the 2 vacuum lines from right behind the throttle body
9. take the small screw and clamp off that clamp the fuel lines to the throttle body bracket (I did not put this back on)
10. Now the fun part, slide the top hose clamp from the coolant line out of the bottom of the throttle body down to the bottom. A small pair of vice grips work nicely.
11. Make sure I did not miss anything, use common sense here
12. Pull up on the plenum. It takes some force to pull the throttle body barb out of the coolant hose.
13. Once you get the plenum up some remove the brake booster hose from the rear of the plenum.
Replace your plenum to lower intake gasket while you are at it.
