ok so ive been waiting on ls1 shims from gmpartsdirect for over a month now and i got an email saying they are backordered. is there any other shim out there that will work on the 01 3400 head with ls6 springs? i was thinking about these shims from summit. Midnight, sorry i didn't get to answer your PM on V6. I used Comp Cams shims for an SBC. they were .015" thick. I still have the package, it was a variety pack of .015, .030 and .060 for like $20 from a local speed shop.
I'll see if i can find the package in the garage and get you the P/N. They're working out great so far.
