You ever get this thing on?

And I noticed way back in this thread, you mentioned using 3400 pushrods when swapping 3400 heads onto a 3100. I thought 3100/3400 rods were the same?

Yeah, what he said. I was done with my 3500 UIM swap months ago.

His may be prettier, but mine actually runs.

Nope, only thing painted is the valve covers and intake manifolds. Coolant tanks on L bodies of that era have black tops and white bottoms. The 1994 ones are clean like mine, the later year ones have a flat square on top for a sticker or something. 1994 has different shaped coolant line too and metal vacuum line that looks better than 95+ IMO. Also 94 does not have heated TB so no messing with those lines!

Ah ok Jon I'll get ya some pics. I forgot this thread and need to put those up. The way I have it all it looks STOCK except if you find the T I used. With my new TB I'll be getting it will have 1 or 2 extra vac lines that could be used as well directly to the FPR/etc. I'll likely just use one to a vacuum gauge.

I think I have some pics already if not I'll take some.

Ok I'm going to take some new pics cause I changed a few things and it looks better. I do have pics but they are before I painted the metal vacuum line and put a 90* angle on the FPR. The new pics the TB isn't black (it's the original 3100 one) cause I sent my black 3400 one off to a friend which was bored/sleeved/tig'ed to 62mm (looks awesome) but we couldn't get a plate cut by hand to seal so it's sitting on a shelf in canada now... I'm going another route for the TB which will use a GM TB and a new adapter.

Anyway, I'm going to run out and get pics in a sec, but here is one color coded showing how I ran the vacuum lines. It looks clean from where you see it and works great. You could use the vacuum port by the brake booster for one vacuum source and the EVAP port for another if you didn't want to make a T to go to the FPR and vacuum ball metal line, but I have vacuum operated cruise that needed that line.

Notice I bent the metal trans/vacuum ball line so it was more straight and not angled. I just pushed it against the metal engine lift bracket. 95+ cars have a different shaped line so keep that in mind. I like the 94 shaped line and the coolant line looks more clean IMO. After I bent it and painted it black it looked great. I used vacuum hose for it to route it to the T and also used it to replace the rubber that was over it that insulates it from scratching the valve cover and engine lift bracket. I used a slightly longer piece to help hold it better this time.

Notice my white cardboard TB gasket colored with sharpie! LOL

This has to be done to the hard coolant heater core line. I never liked that mount that bolts to the TB anyways!

Here is another pic of the vacuum T I used:
