MSD DIS 4 install

I'm just wondering if any one has installed one and had a no start, no spark problem. I'm still waiting on a tech from MSD to get back to me, so I thought I'd post a topic here. THanks for your help guys!

Ps I'm running the car with the coil adapters in place and the jumper plug installed. and it runs grate!

is your purple wire grounded?

Ya the purple wire is grounded, the led on the side blinks after cranking is stoped. which seems weird! the thing I'm wondering the most is the wireing, even though it runs grate with the bypass plug! I'm thinking that the red wire goes to a different place!

a couple things to check here

-the 2 step wire isnt grounded is it???
-it is set on "waste spark" (should be) ???

the waste spark wouldnt do that, and it would be fine to have the waste spark off anyway

the blinking LED is a problem , IIRC that means that there is a problem with the DIS4

im not sure how your ignition is set up so im not sure where the red wires should be going

Yeah make sure the wiring is done properly. There are a few good charts around but when I did installed the setup last year it took a couple of days to get the wiring done right with the diagrams before it was running/running properly.

Yeah the diagram that msd gives you isn't a lot of help.

MSD wiring diagram is perfect. I had no problems installing it. It is pretty straight forward.

Just re check what you have done. You didn't ground the security wire did you?

no it's not the secuarty wire, that was one of the frist things i thought! does anyone know where any good diagrams are? the one that MSD gives you with the box sucks, and it's even more confusing with the adapter modules. Thanks for all your help guys!

if it helps any, the factory modual when your looking at it goes PNNPPN =362514. the panflet states that the red wire goes to switched 12v? thats what is confusing!

i got then backwards its PNNPPN = 253614.

You sure you got that wire in the right spot? If I remember right, the instructions also state something about some cars having a +5V wire that jumps to 12 after the car starts to crank. So you have to bump the starter or something to find that +12V wire.

How is the MSD instructions confusing? It is a perfect schematic and made complete sense to me.

that's a grate schematic, thanks for the help. now to pull it off the car and check it. I see one thing wrong allready, the red wire!
