  • Safe Valve Lift w/Stock 3100 Valvesprings???

I just did a topend swap on my 3.1. The heads were completely rebuilt with new springs, guides, etc.... I put the Crane H-260 cam in the car, but now I want more lift. So I want to put 1.6 rockers on it to increase the lift, but I don't know how much lift is safe with the stock valvesprings...they are new springs, but they are stock specification. (well, they actually have ~1000 miles on them now) I'm not worried about the intake, it is only going to have ~.455 lift, the exhaust however will be approaching .480 lift and I'm not sure if that is safe or not. I just think I might have valve float problems or something with that kind of lift. What are your opinions?

    Thanks,

    Shawn
