3.4 with a distributor ?

Does the 3.4 block have the provisions to run a distributor ?
If i put an older intake on it can it use a dist ?
Or did they remove that setup cuz they went DIS ?
Or can I only run a distributor on a 2.8 block ?

The 3.4L and even later motors have a plug that runs the oil pump. You can replace the plug with a distributor as long as it clear your intake. Fiero guys use their stock intake and distributor with a 3.4L all the time.
