Hello. I just dropped the oil pan on a used 3400 I bought to replace the tired 3100 in my lumina and the crankshaft has 3.1 stamped on it! Do these motors use the same crankshaft?

I have always found it funny when I pulled the crank on a 3400 and it has 3.1L cast in it.
