    i had recently bought a set of piston rings for my 92 corsica but went with the camaro piston for better compression. (90 carmaro rs 31.) anyway i bought a set of piston rings for the camaro not the corsica should i check the end gap anyway. or r they usually pregapped for u when u buy? thanks!

    If you're running a Camaro piston, then I should think that you would want the Camaro piston rings, too. I don't know interchangability between the two, obviously, the bore size will be the same, but thicknesses could be different.

    But, if you have the Camaro piston, I wouldn't worry too much. Maybe someone else here knows more than I do.

      well it is a camaro piston, and it is a camaro ring set. i was just wondering if i had to do the time consuming end gap process, but yes it is a camaro piston and a camaro ring set

        Rings are like spark plugs.. yes they gap them at the factory, but you should always double check because they are not always correct.
