  • WOT-TECH FPR Bracket Question

    Gentlemen,

I am in the process of swapping a 3500 UIM onto my 3400 (2004 Impala) and recently purchased the TB adapter and FPR bracket from WOT-TECH. Piece of cake, right? Well I'm a tiny bit confounded as to how the FPR bracket is supposed to mount up.

Are you supposed to pop the FPR off of the fuel rail and place the bracket in between the rail and the FPR? If so, what orientation is the bracket supposed to sit (specifically, does it go on like a "U" or a lowercase "n" ?)

Also, with the bracket installed, will the fuel rail still need to be loosened and moved as described on the WOT-TECH site?

    Thanks for the help!!!

The FPR bracket fits in the groove with the open side down just like the original bracket. It only rotates the FPR to gain clearance for the UIM.

As for loosening the fuel rail, it really depends on where it happened to be at when it was last installed. The simple thing to do would be to just loosen the two retaining bolts, push the FPR away from the TB neck and tighten the bolts before you sit the UIM back on.
