  • steel crank or not to steel crank..

so, after the destruction of one of my pistons in my 3500, i picked up another.. altho this one doesnt have the steel crank :/ both engines are out of the car, the steel crank block is striped down... would it be worth it to swap the cranks over while its out? i plan on boosting my engine next year, just mildly, like 8-10psi? :P my goals are to break into the 11's on my fiero ~425 hp i suppose?

I would have a machinist take a look at the steel crank before you consider it, after seeing how that piston was... now if it looks good, do it! I know some cast smallblock cranks can handle 425 once prepped.

Are you looking for a stock crank or a high alloy one?
