3400/3500 hybrid vs 3500

So before I put my turbo in my beretta I have to do a few thing such as pull my pan, replace my head gaskets, etc. I'm not totally sure how much I trust my bottom end, so my plans are to just pull the engine and replace it with another with all the work done. That way the car has less down time. So the question is what is is a better option. I can get a 3500s for 350-500. Or get 3500 heads/LIM for 150 and go through my bottom end.

So, 3400/3500 hybrid vs 3500. Which is better? Obviously for the 3500 I'll need the TCE crank trigger, but is the swap worth the time?

Id say 3500 complete. you get oil squirters and more displacement. I put a 3400 in my camaro at first with the intention of staying with a 3400 but the 3500's can be had soo cheap around here that it's the way to go.

Basically all needed to swap it in is the crank trigger? will be using a 3100 UIM so that makes it so I don't have to deal with the egr and tb stuff..

if you look at the top of this section on the forum, theres a 45 page topic all about the 3500 swap, and then theres a few swaps in the motor swap section. you need a crank trigger, or a new relucter ring, but the crank will have to be puller for that. you need to change some senser BS with the coolant temp, basically extending 3 wires, and you gotta change the injector rails and get a special bracket dealy. there should be a package deal on WOTTECH.com, if not, there should be cough cough**
