Crank/Cam Sensor Resolution Question

Is there any benefit upgrading the sensors to 24x/24x ?

I'm browsing a bin file for the 97v6 pcm (97 Grand Am) and noticed there is an option for crank sensor resolutions.

(0) 3x/18x
(1) 7x/4x
(2) 24x/24x

From what I understand my engine has the 7x/4x resolution. If I found a way to install both as 24x would it result in better engine operation? Fuel economy?

The crank sensor in the dampener is 24x. That option might be there for that. As far as i know, the higher resolution setups in the newer v6's is mostly there to reduce cranking time.
