    Hi all, I am new to this site and I have a question about a swap I am considering.I am building a dirt track racer out of a 95 grand prix se. it currently has a 3100 L82 in it that needs replacing. I have a 96 sillhouette with a good 3400 LA1 in it . My question is , can I swap the 3400 into the gp and use the 3100 computer and harness or will I need to swap the ecm and harness out of the van. I know the maf can compensate for some changes but the car will be running wfo between 4k and 7k rpms for 5-10 minutes at a time . I dont want to lean it out and burn the engine up and I want to keep costs as low as possible and retain a stock appearance.I know the ecms are different and are mounted in different locations so swapping them would be a lot of work.Any help would be appreciated.

    Also, are their any cheap easy ways to tweak this engine for more power?does anyone know the diff gear ratio of the gp and the van?
