    Well that is a whole different and somewhat OFF TOPIC conversation, however it is dependent on the power band of the engine.

    I have never subscribed to it in my 30+ years of racing, however there are legions very successful cars running the two speed.

    Pro-Stocks run 5 speeds due to a very narrow power band.

    But Stock and Super Stock Class Chevys, along with countless Bracket cars run two speeds because they are light, and very strong. (And because in some cases it's mandated.)

    If a cam with a very long powerband was to be suggested, then I would consider re-gearing the car to run thru in 1st and 2nd, however I think that is probably unlikely with a 3.5 liter engine.

    In any event, the form has been submitted and paid for, so we'll see what the recommendation is.

    I'm hoping this car is well into the 13's next season.

      i had a 3.94 trans in mine for a while, it was useless. i had a hard time shifting fast enough to get into the 13's.. stock 3.61 trans has me almost into the 12's.
