    What should a good fresh 3100 have for cranking compression? Does GM have any specs for it?

    normal would be around 150psi

    the recommended minimum is 100psi, with no more than 30(?)% difference between the highest and lowest cylinder.
    1995 Monte Carlo LS 3100, 4T60E...for now, future plans include driving it until the wheels fall off!

      Could a stock 3100 have 200psi?

        depending on how well the rings and valves are sealing and how much carbon has built up inside the chamber, yes.

          With 190,000km, mine was between 170 to 185 psi. Warmish and no oil added.
