im being told that i shouldn't use them for my daily driven car because they'll cause over heating. i would think they would be better designed than that. anyone have any problems with theirs?

No they wont cause overheating. If they did it would only be at idle which just means the fan would have to work a bit more. Some people do report charging problems at idle though1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma

thats what i thought. i was told 'if gm thought putting a smaller pulley on there would be better for power, they would've put it on there' but i figure they would of put headers on all cars too, but thats only if you dont factor in the engineering headers and underdrive pulleys costs more
so what kind of problems will i have if i put them on my 3.1 firebird? its my daily driver, now that i sold all my other cars, so i really need it to be reliable.sigpic<---SERIOUS cornering now

I doubt you will notice any difference. Most report it revs a little better you might get 3 horsepower maybe 5 if there is a big difference in diameter. I highly doubt you will see the 10 to 15 hp some products claim.1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma

That's what I figured. I never thought it would be a huge difference. But I like squeezing out any little bit of power I can.sigpic<---SERIOUS cornering now
