  • what comp ratio will 3400 heads have on a tgp?

    if i put 98+ 3400 heads/intake on a 90 tgp engine, how much CR would we be talking as opposed to stock on the tgp?

    did you research at all?

    Logically you would use the CR Calculator that's on this site and look at the CC of Gen2 heads.. then the CC Gen3 heads.

    Just imagine.. you could get an answer without having to ask!
    Past Builds;
    1991 Z24, 3500/5 Spd. 275WHP/259WTQ 13.07@108 MPH
    1989 Camaro RS, ITB-3500/700R4. 263WHP/263WTQ 13.52@99.2 MPH
    Current Project;
    1972 Nova 12.73@105.7 MPH

      9.6:1 or so I think if you use 3100 pistons then that is what you will end up wiht. The compression calc on the left is your friend.

      EDIT
      using the calc, seems to be 8.67:1. So you loose compression a bit over the 3.1 heads if you keep the 3.1mpfi pistons.

          No. if you have a great tune then you are fine probably up to around 11psi. Maybe more. Loner has ran 12psi or more I think on stock pistons on his cammed 3400/3500 turbo corsy.
