Put the added work of the extra turbo into a built automatic or a 5-speed swap...

i intend to put a 6 speed in it first, the TT would be way down the road anyway.

I've built 3 twin turbo motors, it's not the kind of effort you put into a car you may get rid of in a year or two. I did it for a few reasons, all of the engines were at least 3.4L, I had the turbos already, I had planned on boost levels high enough to justify it, and novelty.

I know it's a preference but in the end you may feel it's a mistake, you have less room to work with in the front of that car than I have in the back of my Fiero and my setup is tightly packaged. Do like the beer commercial says "Put it out of your mind son". Just do a properly sized single install and call it a month or two or more because when it comes down to fitting and welding exhaust pipes for a twin setup you better have some serious tools: chop saw, Mig welder, plasma cutter, hydraulic pipe expander, extra cradle, engine and transmission for mock setup outside of the car and a whole bunch of other odds and ends. Not sure how much I paid for all of that stuff.

Oh yeah, I have a 6 speed in the mix to and it didn't come cheap despite doing the install myself. You're in an "eyes bigger than your stomach" situation here, no pun intended.

Marriage and babies have brought about many a "For Sale" sign on projects. Think about it.

If that's all the power you're looking for at the crank, then a stock TGP turbo will meet your goals....and if you get all the necessary pieces, it'll be a simple bolt-on installation.

For what it's worth, several people have made 250-260 wheel hp w/ the stock TGP turbo. A good tune makes a huge difference on these cars. The stock tune and older performance chips have them running pig rich under boost. Leaning out the a/f and tweaking other things makes for some sizeable power gains.
