  • Quick head gasket Q

I know ive seen this posted before but i cant find it.
I'm doing a hybrid build, fwd 2.8 with 3400 heads and I'm looking to bump up the compression, what are the thinest head gaskets to use?
    thanks

Also i just thought, how much can i mill off the heads before i run into trouble?
Might be better off to do that than run a thiner gasket that wasnt made for those heads...

Maybe today, I'll be deploying a new CR calculator that automatically computes the quench distance for the entered parameters. Then you can play around with the numbers and come up with an answer.

      ok thanks.
the problem i find with that calculator is when you want to mix and match parts you have to enter the values manually and i dont know what they are. is there a list somewhere that has the cc's and such for the diffrent heads and pistons. We need a chart to refernece while filling that out... atleast i do, lol

Just load up the default values for a different engine, and all the values are there. So if you wanted the values for a 2.8 iron head, load up that engine and use the default values, then write them down. Then, load up the 3100 for example, and type in the defaults for it (the ones that are shown next to the input box), and then fill in the 2.8 iron head info where you want it.

          I figured it out
I was trying to do what you said but i was doing it a diffrent way and it kept reseting it and giving me the same values but now i got it.

Edit: wow those iron head head gaskets make a pretty big diffrence, put me right about were i want to be
