does anybody know of any companies what will make or modify the stock 3400 lifters for higher spring pressures? i think i remember dave did something with 3500 lifters and lt1 lifters.. any info on this?

its in my valvetrain noise thread. the two springs from the LT1 lifters swao them into the 3400 lifters.

Yep, LT1 or LS1 lifter springs (check valve and main) into the 3x00 makes a good combo.


the 2.2 guys have neen doing it for years. I think it was "Slowolej" who did the first set.

Well those components wont go bad so get them from a junkyard. And if you have a 3X00 already just use those lifters. No sense in buying new ones.

new lifters may be pricey, but used ones can be found dirt cheap. such as this:
