You are looking for a 1.5mm oversized piston. Stock bore for a 3400 is 92mm, therefore you want 93.5mm pistons.

Yes, they should for a standard overbore like that. Look for Sealed Power, and I know many people have used them in the past with good success.

why are you going .060 over? i hope you're not looking for more power. i didn't think our motors could take a .060 cut.

Here's an easy way to convert from metric to standard measurements (accurate to about .004" or .1mm):

mm to inches, you multiply the number by 26.4

inches to mm, you multiply by 26.4.

Example, we all know that a 10mm and 3/8's (.375") wrench are interchangable. 10mm/26.4=.37878..." and .0375"x26.4=9.9mm

Not sure about the 3.4, but there's a guy on TGO with a .080" overbore on a 3.1 (basically it's just shy of a 3.4).

actually it's 25.4. there are 2.54 centimeters in one inch, or 25.4 mm.

wow! .080, that's pretty big. every block has it's limit on overbore. that much surprises me.

You're absolutely correct, it's too late.

I was thinking that 10mm=3/8's of an inch and actually went back and edited the post. .393 is 10mm, but that's only 5 thousands on a side when using a wrench.

                  Need some sleep.

So Sealed Power makes some, I also heard that Arias does and TRW. Anyone else? But not just for the 3400, other 3x00's as well.

Not only is it 25.4 but you divide when going mm to inches, and multiple when going inches to mm. LOL

i thought that .060 was safe for any pretty much any block really
and i heard of 3.1 blocks being bored out .100 and holding up !

Yeah I have wondered the same thing about 3100s? I know that 3400s are like .120" bigger in bore, so did GM just bore out the 3100 blocks or did they resize the cylinders and wall thickness in the 3400 blocks?

Cyl were re-sized. Not all blocks can be bored that big, you have to sonic test or x-ray to see if there is enough material.

It is less expensive to just use a 3400 block.
