the problem is clearance.. you might be able to get away with a little increase but if you want to build a real stroker a 3500 block is the way to go. It's been clearanced for the larger rod journals.

I'd use a 3500 crank and ofset grind it to gain .25" stroke...

hey dave could you do the same with a 3400 block and use the 3500 crank or is that impossible ?

you cant gain that much stroke without welding or going below a 2 inch journal since its only a 2.25 journal stock, divided by half you only stroke to a 3.647 displacement IIRC

that is my plan atleast
