If hypereutectics blow up around 18PSI, has anyone had luck running any more boost than that? How many PSI do you guys run on forged pistons? Im ordering Forged pistons and Im about to get a T3/t4 garret for this pig and was wondering if anyone has a similar setup and what kinda numbers to expect. Im alreay set up with a reburnable chip and 30 lb injectors. OH yea its a 1990 Turbo grand prix with 3400 topend... I dont see many guys making serious power with these cars but hey someones gotta try...

foged pistons will hold up to anything as long as its tuned right. with more than 15psi, your weak point is going ot be head gaskets. you also need to make sure your valve train is up to the task, as lots of boost means you need increased valve spring pressure (valve float under boost happens easier).

So where can i get 660 valve springs that will allow over 15 psi? Also the motor has a flat tappet and as of right now. I bought the stock cam at Napa and it spun already so thats why i might as well put pistons in it while its out,the machine shop screwed the rear main seal too. My buddy said he has a part number for a cam that will allow it to breath better topend with the 3400 top end and keep stock converter. Am i going to keep blowing flat tappet cams? Yea blowing head gaskets all the time could definately get old too.
