Okay, my engine is a 3100sfi. I was planning buying a 62mm throttle body, underdrive pulley, and high flow exhaust. I am also going to make a cold air intake, and fab up a ram air box and cut out a functional hood scoop(with the help of a good friend who luckily is a machinist). I noticed on the same site as the underdrive pully, they sell an EGR delete plate. What is there to gain/lose by bypassing the EGR valve?

Moved to the proper section, so quit posting in that area.
Deleting the EGR doesn't do squat for performance, so don't waste the money.-Brad-

Reminds me, I have 00+ EGR deletes to add to the store. yeah, doesn't nothing for performance directly, but it allows exhaust gas to build up carbon on your intakes and the back of the intake valve. That does effect your performnace and economy. You gotta turn it off in the ECM to really do it properly though.

your not going to gain much with that intake setup say over something from mpracing.org
if you want a good setup i would say go with an cold air intake, get a tune, ported upper and lower manifolds, 62mm TB, to keep costs down you could P&P the exhaust manifolds and do a full exhaust with highflow cat and of course plugs and wires and because our electrical system is so shitty on malibus you might want to upgrade the ground and power wires which has been proven to improve ignition performance and increase mileage...
