I notice a few mebers talking about roller rockers . I have the early ones 94 so I now they are not a roller fulcrum . But who sell them out there and what mods . Rocker studs ect would I have to do. To make them work. thanks BB

Just buy them from Crane they will send you the studs. but some cars have valve cover issues. Of which I can't tell you if your car is one of those. Oh and I'm not sure you have rollers you may have roller cam but rockers I don't know

No valve cover issues witht he 3X00's. But there are lower manifold issues. It will need to be removed for grinding.

Are you talking about the crane gold race rockers? You have to modify the rocker. I have destroyed a lower intake already trying to clearance and it just isn't happening without modifying the rocker. After I finish the rocker mod to 4 of them, I am going to figure out pricing to do it again and offer modified sets for gen 3 motors. Some manifold modification will need to be done but nothing severe (the same amount to clear the stock gen 3 roller rockers on the older intakes).

Well we did it on a 3400 lower intake and it worked fine. Maybe the 3100's have issues.

            Roller Rockers

Will those factory roller rockers fit 1rst Gen iron heads? What part of the manifold needs to be machined or grinded? Any Pics would be great, are the smallblock Chevy roller rockers the same ? Could they be swapped on our 2.8 iron Heads? thanks Bill..

No the factory roller rockers will not fit iron heads without out some creative machining. The intake manifolds need to be ground on the underside of 2 of the intake ports. This ONLY applies to 3X00 motors. Gen I and II motors need no work at all. Yea Chevy small block rockers are the same. But you MUST get rockers that are used on applications with centerbolt valvecovers. These are narrower than standard wide body rockers.

That is with Crane (or other similar aluminum) rockers. If they fit then anything should fit. Aside from shaft mounts

I thought the SBC rockers have a 3/8's stud and the 60* has 10mm. I belive it is Crane that sells the conversion studs, they bolt into the 10mm hole in the head and are 3/8's above the hex. I have used 3/8's (stamped with roller tip) rockers on my car but the pivot balls and locking nuts didn't work.

Yea that is correct. ARP also sells the correct fasteners. You can also get ARP fasteners to bolt into the newest heads with 8mm threads.
