Well right now I'm in the process or swapping the LIM gasket on my 96 3100. I decided that since I'm at it I might want to look into the 3400 manifolds. With all the clearance issues and EGR changes, are there any year 3400 manifolds that are a direct bolt on which require no modification? It's too cold to spend much time fooling around with rewiring or refitting. I thought there used to be a tread that had a good compatability list but I can't find anything.

You should have roller rockers so no clearance issues if you do.
97 3400 from a minivan will be threaded on the coolant pipe thing.
The UIM from the earlier years also have the same style EGR adapter, I think a 99 would work fine, if not, you are ODBII, and can use the vertical mount EGR like 2000+ on the 2000+ UIM, the connectors are the same...sigpic New 2010 project (click image)
