  • V6 3,0l Buick Skylark 1989

    Hi there

First I've to say that i didn't know where to write, so if i'm in the false area please move.

Next we go to my car and my problem!
    I've a Buick Skylark limited 1989 with a V6 3,0l engine!

My problem is that the engine doesn't run round. if i put a gear in and brake and accerlate, so that the car doesn't move it begins to shoot! idk how to describe it, the engine moves under the hood, it makes strange loud noises.

firind order is oke i checked it! i plugged off the crank/camshaft sensor but then the car doesn't start. the MAF is new, so the idle is better than before (before the car starts but goes out after 2 seconds)

I've new spark plugs in the car too and now idk what to do

next i ask for a favour: i need all information for this car (information of service manuals or so and for the display (dash) too)

thanks for all ideas and tips

PS: i'm not a pro in repairing so it would be great if everybody can descripe step by step what to do and how to do^^

not going to be a lot of info on here about the 3.0l. the 3.0l is a 90 degree v6 motor, its in the same engine family as the 3300 and 3800.

If your having strnage loud noises then most likely you have a mechanical failure.

If it moves around in the engine compartment, it sounds like a motor mount. Does it run fine otherwise?

And, out of curiosity, what is the fuel system? Carbureted or injected? I have a 3.0L in my 82 ciera and am looking for a different fuel system for it, since the electronic carbs are junk.

            i've an injected fuel system

someone told me that the crank/camshaft sensor could be the reason in my engine it is one sensor for both, does anybody know how to check this sensor?

            i've no trouble codes stored....
